Dislocated Worker Program
Losing your job can be one of the most challenging events in your life. Job loss can cause economic hardship and add stress to your life. The Teamsters Service Bureau's employment services division, Minnesota Job Partners, has funds available to help laid-off workers get retrained and re-employed! Our concern is to recognize the worth of each individual and to preserve a worker's dignity after a job loss.

Eldercare Assistance
We can help seniors and family caregivers face the challenges of aging. Our eldercare consultants can connect you with resources to age in place. They can also help you decide when it’s time to move out of your home and into senior living. Caregiving responsibilities can be daunting for family members who work and have families of their own. Depression
Going to a therapist when you're feeling sad or overwhelmed should be as normal as going to the doctor when you have the flu. Through the Teamsters Service Bureau, you are eligible for three counseling sessions. Services are free and confidential.

Anger Management

Have you ever felt helpless? Not sure what direction to take? Financial or chemical abuse problems seem too much to overcome? Not sure where to turn for assistance? There is a beacon in the storm: the Minnesota Teamsters Service Bureau.
It's not uncommon for workers and their families to have personal problems that get in the way of leading productive lives. At the Minnesota Teamsters Service Bureau, you will receive confidential, professional assistance in a broad range of human services.
We offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can discuss your problems. Our trained Service Bureau staff will help you define your problems and develop a plan to help you resolve them. Our Family Services program is open to active and retired Teamsters and their families. The MN Teamsters Service Bureau can help you and your family with many issues, including:?
- Drug and alcohol abuse or compulsive gambling
- Personal, adolescent, and family counseling
- Financial and budgeting issues
- Credit, housing, and food problems
- Family violence, rape, and crime victimization
- Literacy and other educational needs
The Family Services program also provides in-service training for companies and union stewards in a variety of human service areas, including family violence, chemical dependency, retirement planning, budgeting, and sexual harassment. We have Family Services locations throughout Minnesota.

The Service Bureau provides one free 30 minute consultation available over the phone or in person, with an attorney who specializes in your issue. If your situation requires ongoing legal services, Teamster members receive a discount on the legal fees.
Free consultations and discounted attorney rates for Teamster members on issues such as:

- Child support, adoption, custody
- Garnishments, loans, consumer complaints

Relationships
If your relationship is struggling, there is hope. With the right support, even the deepest hurt can heal. Unhealthy patterns can be broken, communication can be strengthened, and trust can be rebuilt. Our Service Bureau provides three free counseling sessions with a professional relationship therapist. Our therapists can meet in-person or virtually with individuals, couples, or families. They’re here to help you create an action plan to get your relationship through the storm.
