SKOOG APPOINTED TO DIVISION REPRESENTATIVE

Local 320 is proud to announce that General President Sean O’Brien has appointed Erik Skoog to serve as a Division Representative for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Public Services and Health Care Division.

The Public Services and Healthcare Division is the Teamsters’ second-largest division, representing nearly 260,000 members across North America. These Teamsters serve our communities every day - including County, City, and State employees, public works employees, public defenders, correctional officers, licensed peace officers, school and university employees, healthcare workers, first responders, and many others who provide essential public services.

In this new role, Erik will assist Local Unions across the country by supporting organizing, negotiations, collective bargaining, major grievances, and the continued fight for strong contracts, better working conditions, and a stronger voice for working people.

“This is an incredible opportunity to stand alongside Teamsters across North America who dedicate their careers to serving their communities,” said Skoog. “At the end of the day, this is about the members and ensuring their voices are heard, their work is respected, and they have a strong Union standing behind them.”

Erik Skook, Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Officer of Teamsters Local 320, I took office on January 1, 2026 with one mission: to deliver results for our members. Our vision is straightforward, but powerful; raise industry wages, secure better benefits, lower health insurance costs, improve member response times, hold employers accountable, and fight for the dignity and respect every sister and brother Teamster deserves.

We will not wait for change, we will make it. We will not sit silently while employers test our limits or try to call our bluffs. We will stand strong, united, and ready to take action, whether at the bargaining table or in the streets. Our fight is not just about contracts; it’s about fairness, respect, and the principle that workers’ voices must be heard and acted upon.

Accountability is at the heart of our leadership. Employers who shortchange our members, ignore our concerns, or undermine our rights will face a Teamsters Local 320 that is organized, informed, and relentless. We will ensure that every member’s hard work is honored with fair pay, strong benefits, and safe working conditions.

We are also committed to our membership inside the Local. Faster, clearer, and more responsive communication will be the standard, not the exception. Every question, concern, and complaint will be met with action, not excuses.

WE HAD A GREAT PICNIC SEASON!

A big thank you to all the members who came out, grabbed a burger, and spent time with us. It was a great opportunity to enjoy some good food, have great conversations, and most importantly, build unity and strengthen our Teamster family.

STEWARD SUCCESS

This summer, Teamsters Local 320 held two regional steward trainings, bringing members and stewards together to build knowledge, skills, and solidarity. Under the leadership of Erik Skoog, our local is investing in training and empowering members to become stronger advocates in the workplace. These grassroots trainings are helping Teamsters Local 320 grow bigger, faster, and stronger!

HIGH DENSITY WINS STRONG CONTRACTS!!!

Membership density is the percentage of workers in a bargaining unit who are dues paying members. In the public sector, density is one of the biggest factors that determines how strong the union is at the bargaining table.
